This is Forever?! Yes!

Hello everyone out there! We hope you all had a joy-filled Christmas. We sure did. BJ and I really love Christmas time, but this year was a whole new adventure! Being able to spend Christmas with your best friend/husband is such a blessing. We just get to do stuff together all the time! I guess that is just still a new concept to us. The other night we were talking about how I keep having this feeling that we are on some vacation that is about to end...but it is not! We get to be married and together forever! I know there will be good times and not-so-good times, but we are just so thankful to get to to it together.
We have loved having the tree up, having too many candles burning at once, buying Christmas decor, and buying gifts. I guess the tree has to come down pretty soon....it is pretty dry and my Mom taught me that is dangerous!

Here is a little about our wonderful Christmas:
We drove up to Atlanta last Wednesday (Christmas Eve Eve). We got there at night time but still got to spend some good time with the fam. It was so much fun just to sit around and chill with Milla, Mom, Dad, June, and BJ. On Thursday, we went with Dad on the annual Christmas Eve shopping trip. This is always so much fun. BJ got to experience it with us this year! Camilla got a really cute dress, I got a cool apron, BJ got some shirts, Dad got all kinda of clothes (the only time during the year he buys himself anything), we bought Mom some goodies, we got Katie got some cute childrens plates from Williams-Sonoma (sooo...maybe those are for the girls?), and we got Nathan a cool leather notebook. If you skipped over that part....it does not hurt my feelings...I probably would have too.
Anyway, we got home from that trip and I went to go retrieve Emma Kate's Barbie bike from Katie and Art's house! That was fun and I was glad to be a part of the first bike thing. She loved it! Although, since she had seen it in the store, she could not remember if she already had it or not. It was really funny. Picture us all standing there trying to convince this sweet 3 year old that she does not in fact have this bike. She decided she believed us and then she got really excited.
Later on we went to the Christmas Eve service. This was so amazing and special as always! The music at Church of the Apostles is spectacular and is such a blessing to all that hear it. It was an extra special time because the Geyers came! Jamie, Di, and Ern sat with us at Church and then came over for dinner! We had so many laughs, told many stories, and learned many lessons at dinner. It was so fun having them there.
**Important Side Note** Right before the Christmas Eve service started, Elizabeth called to tell me that she and Evan were ENGAGED. It was so sweet. They will be getting married in Montgomery and I am so excited to be the in-town helper to her Mom and sister since Elizabeth is currently in Austin!
Christmas morning was ver very very chill. We just got up around 9:30 and had coffee. Mom made a bountiful (big word, I know) and tasty breakfast that we all enjoyed very much. It was so much fun just sitting around in our PJ's. We all only opened one gift because we wanted to wait for Nathan to get there and for Katie, Art, and the babies to get back from Art's parents house.
Once they all got there, EK got the bike, Dad read Scripture, and we started on presents and stockings! It was a very very fun afternoon, and was followed by another tasty meal by Mom and Katie! We did some toasts and just had a plain ole good time!
The day after Christmas was relaxing too. BJ and Dad ran around town doing some things, and I went to lunch with Mom and Milla. We left Atlanta that afternoon and headed back to Montgomery.
What we did when we got back to Montgomery will need its own blog post. We bought a TV, but only after 5 stores and 4 hours. It was worth it though!!
On Sunday we got up early and had a really fun day with BB, Mr. Jim, Aunt Jill, Payton, and Austin. We got to just hang out, do fun things, and be together. It was great to be with them all day! We also had some really really good food and got to exchange some fun gifts! They have all taken me in with the widest and most open arms ever created. I am so thankful!
So...the moral of the story is...we have a WONDERFUL family and God has BLESSED us. I know I use that word a lot, but it is just the truth!
Thank you to all of our sweet family members who have made our first month and a half of marriage so incredible. We love you!

Guess What? We Got MARRIED.

2 weeks ago tonight, BJ and I became Husband and Wife. It was certainly the BEST day of our lives and was a dream come true. I honestly could not have asked for more. We were surrounded by those we love the most and we got to vow to love each other forever! Parts of the day are a blur, but I remember most of it very well and am so thankful for that. I cannot believe it is over. Thank you so much to my Mom ad Dad for everything. Thank you to my WHOLE family and to the Haistens!! Thank you to all of our sweet friends for being so wonderful. November 21st, 2009 was priceless.

We spent a wonderful week in Highlands, North Carolina and have now been in Montgomery for a week. We are in shock everyday that BJ does not have to take me home, and we are not coordinating long distance things, BUT being together all the time feels oddly natural! The Lord has giving us an amazing gift through marriage and we are THANKFUL!!

OK, these are out of order but here is our Christmas tree and a view of our messy den!! We had so much fun getting the tree and BJ put it up like a champ. It was totally no big deal! And he is the light master. He did a great job. OH, it is also worthy to note that we got the tree at Home Depot and proceeded to put it INSIDE my small Jetta. We put the back seat down and stuck the tree through the trunk up into the car. It was really funny and worked out ridiculously well.

Our First Tree! The lights were not totally finished at this point. We ran out and had to go back to target to get one more strand. We also bought a tree skirt today so it is not so naked anymore. It is a cute quilted skirt we got at an antique store.

My light man.

Taking the mesh off the tree. Note the wedding gifts and stuff everywhere :) It is much cleaner now so do not worry. Well...more like we just moved all the gifts into the spare bedroom. I should put a picture of that up. It is INTERESTING!

The finished product minus the tree skirt! Hope you like! We need a few more ornaments but they will come with time. I am sure one day we will have wayyy too many. Thank you to the Knights for the great star at the top of our tree.

I better get back to watching this Texas game....it is getting intense. BJ is going nuts. About that SEC Champ game earlier...whatever...Bama does not deserve that kind of glory and that is all I have to say about that.

I Am Back!

Hey Folks!

I realize that I have been the most slack blogger ever. I really thought I would be better at this! I have HIGH hopes that as life settles down a little in the coming months, that I will be blogging much more :)
So, the wedding is in TWO weeks. 2! I cannot even believe it! I am so excited. BJ and I feel so blessed and cannot wait to be husband and wife. We have been overwhelmed with love and support from all of our family and friends. Thank you so much everyone!
The next two weeks will be great. Mom and I have a few things left to get accomplished, but are looking forward to some nice and calm time. Katie, Art, EK, and Harper were over tonight and Emma Kate "practiced" for the wedding. She was thrilled to put on her flower girl dress. She calls it her "bridesmaid dress." It is really sweet. We practiced walking down the "aisle" to Mommy. We have told her that Mommy, Aunt Milla, and my friends will walk down first, then she will go and walk to Mommy. We told her that when she walks down, everyone knows the bride is coming. She loves that only she and I get to wear white! We kept telling her how she did such a great job practicing the wedding and she said, "Auntie, can we have practiced the realll wedding?" She also said, "Is the wedding today?" She is so excited, so hopefully the excitement will carry over to November 21st! We will see! We are prepared for her to run, walk, cry, freak out, or not walk down the aisle at all. I just hope she enjoys it and knows we love her!
I went to Auburn this weekend with Mom. She had a Phi Mu reunion and it was also Chi O parent's weekend! I spent the night with Brittney on Friday and Saturday and we had so much fun just chatting and chilling. I got to spend lots of time with Camilla on Saturday and it was so great. We also went to Big Blue this morning for breakfast. I have the sweetest little sister. She makes me so proud and is such a good and fun friend. I have been blessed with an amazing family.

Here are a few pictures from the past month:

Look at my sweet friends and sisters dressed up in various forms of me throughout the years! It was so thoughtful and thought-out!  (Camilla-top hat soccer, Katie-Psychedelic, Jamie-Auburn Fan, Claire-Patriot, Em-Whitefield Uniform, Ans-Wolfpack Cheerleader, Laura-My signature game day vest, LeLe-JH Ranch staff, Britt- High School Tennis Uniform!)

This is BJ and Mr. Jim moving our dining room table in our new apartment! More pictures of the apartment coming soon. Mr. Jim and Mrs. Barbara gave us this beautiful table that is about 100 years old!

West-Virginia game with Em and Jordan. Lots of rain but lots of fun.

Just Wanna Say...

Thank You.

Thank you to everyone who has blessed me so much recently.

Thank you to Em, J, and Ans for helping Mom and I stuff invitations for so long last night. I will never forget that. I am so blessed with such precious friends.
Thank you MOM for being the team captain, and the one who has kept this boat afloat! You are a treasure! Not just a fab wedding planner, but an amazing Mom and Friend!
Thank you Katie for showing me what it means to be a wife, a mother, a friend, a sister, a daughter, a driver, a diaper changer, a hair brusher, a COOK, an athlete, a crafter, and more. Your example is priceless.
Thank you Milla for being my buddy. You are my right hand woman. You are hilarious, creative, beautiful, and down right LEGIT. Mom, Dad, and I are not the same without you here.
Thank you Dad for being my protector for my whole life. You have shown me the sweetness in life and you always look on the bright side. Thank you for teaching me the importance of optimism and encouragement. You have provided for me for 22 years.
Thank you to Nathan for being my big brother. You are a handsome and respected man that I am so proud of. You sure are going to make someone extremely happy one day!
Thank you to Emma Kate and Harper (not that y'all can read yet, but that is beside the point:) ) for providing me with an endless supply of joy. I get emotional just thinking about y'all. You two have captured my heart. Praise Jesus for you!
Thank you to Artie for taking care of my sister for years. You have always gone above and beyond for all of us. I will always treasure those summers in the basement watching 24 and eating Felinnis. Camilla and I are so blessed to have gotten to know you at a young age, because you truly impacted us!
Thank you to all the Haistens. You have taken me in with arms wide open. From day one you took me in as part of the family and absolutely showered me with love. I am humbled by your tender hearts towards me and everything you have done for us.
Thank you to BJ. My future husband....my best friend. You bring loads and buckets of joy into my life. Thank you for loving me and for just being plain old fun! Thank you for finding us the perfect place to live, for caring about all the little details of our life, and for planning a date for us tomorrow night. You and I are a team, and I love it. Thank you for everything you have done for me in the past, the present and the future! Most importantly, thank you for pointing me to the Cross.

Montgomery, Alabama and Beyond

It is official. Scott and LeLe are married. They are one and will be together forever. Their ceremony was gloriously worshipful and had me very emotional. LeLe and Scott are great friends of ours, and BJ and I appreciate them so much. They shed the light of Jesus on every single person that laid eyes on them all weekend. LeLe was so calm and sweet all weekend. She made everyone feel special and important. What an amazing quality...especially since SHE was the BRIDE!
Please Check out this bride:

Isn't she gorgeous! Scott is a lucky guy! Scott is amazing, though. We love him and are so thankful for him. He and LeLe are a perfect match. To see more wedding weekend pictures go to this link.

This weekend I am going to Auburn for a big yard sale we are having at BJ's with a bunch of our friends. Thats right....yard sale! If you know BJ at ALL, you knew he loves yard sales. A bunch of us have some extra junk (good junk) from college, so we are going to try to get a few bucks for it! Come by 220 E. Samford this Saturday to peruse our treasures.

Camilla went back to Auburn yesterday. It was sad for me, but I am glad she gets to be there. Auburn is such a great place. She is living on the new Chi O hall in the Village dorms. They love it but have had some interesting issues because they are in the handicap-friendly one. Oh well! They are making the best of it! I am excited to see Milla this weekend and see their dorm! Rush is this week!

I would also like to ask you all to pray for my sweet Grandmother. My Dad's Mom, Dot Deeter, had a massive stroke on Saturday. It was very scary and the Doctor initially told us to be prepared for her not to make it through the week. Her new Doctor, Dr. Stewart has been much more optomistic, and Grandmama has actually been doing OK. She did well on her swallowing test yesterday. She still has a feeding tube in her nose, but should have it out soon. She is leaving the hospital tomorrow and going to the rehab facility at Delmar Gardens. She used to live in independent living there, but will now be in the other wing. We have hopes that she will possibly relearn to talk and gain use of her left side. She has been so strong and we could not be more proud of her. Grandmama has actually been able to write some and tell us things. She wrote the first 10 books of the Bible down in order the other night. Last night she wrote, "Do you think I could have some coffee?" Does that not just tug your heart so hard? She is a sweet lady and has walked with God for many years. She also loves coffee and that is usually the only liquid she drinks. She also wrote this to me last night, "Can you say the books of the Bible?" So I started saying them and she wrote them down. Please be praying for her as she begins this journey. Also pray for my Dad, who is the leader of this whole deal. He has handled it beautifully so far and we know he will continue to do so. Thank you, Jesus, for this great family!

On a different note, BJ is graduating from Auburn this coming Monday! I am so proud of him and could go on and on about his accomplishments. I could also go through the whole deal about how much Auburn means to us, but I will spare yall for now :) Basically, lets just say that God is so faithful and so good. Emily, Jordan, Ansley, Elizabeth, Harrison, Lauren, and more are graduating Monday too! Way to go guys! Have fun with it. War Eagle.

Love you all. I hope I am getting better at blogging. I am trying!

May, June, July...Now almost August?

It has been a whirlwind of fun since BJ got back from China! It seems like he has been back for a while but has still flown by so quickly. We have been blessed to attend some God-honoring weddings. We love seeing our friends get married. And we of course love seeing everyone!

So...what is the latest?

BJ is in Auburn finishing up one class. He will graduate August 10th! and GUESS WHAT? That thesis he spent all Spring AND Summer working on...ya know that one?...Well, he got an A! He worked so hard all Spring, and then finished it up with lots of hard work in China. He had the craziest spring semester imaginable and still managed to pull this whole thesis thing off beautifully. I am very proud of him!

He will start work with The Clement Group in Montgomery towards the end of August. The Lord has been so faithful to us. We are so excited that BJ has such a good job, and we are so happy to live in Montgomery. We are particularly happy that it is so close to our favorite place one earth...AUBURN. We are getting married in 4 months from yesterday. Or as we like to say...17 Saturdays. We will soon be down to 16 Saturdays!

This weekend I am going to celebrate one of my great friends singleness. We are going to Lake Martin for LeLe's bachelorette. I am so excited. LeLe and I met at JH Ranch before our senior year in high school, then worked there together the summer before we came to Auburn, THEN lived on the same hall our Freshman year, THEEENNNN both pledged Chi O! She is a beautiful and amazing friend, for whom I am very thankful! She and Scott are getting married next weekend in Montgomery. Best wishes and lots of love to the almost Frasers!

Mom and Camilla just got back from a fun trip to Massachusetts. The went to see Liz's play! They also got to run around, see the sights, and even buy the Mother of the Bride dress!! Woohoo! Way to go Mom and Milla! Mom looks stunning in it. Everyone get ready!

I hope to update again soon with some recent pictures! I have not been good about taking pictures lately, but I will hopefully improve!

I Need to Get it Together!

Ok so evidently I am not as good of a blogger as I once thought I could be. I promise to get better. I have so many updates it is not even funny.

Here is a list of some things:

BJ is safely back from China!
He got a couple job offers and accepted one in Montgomery!!!!
Thus, we will be living to Montgomery when we get married and are very excited.
We have begun the search for apartments/lofts.
My job is going well. Getting busy. www.lightthenight.org/ga
Wedding plans are coming along! Mom is still my hero and we might have had to elope without her help.
We went to Mary Lindsey and Chris' wedding this weekend and it was beautiful. Aliceville was awesome. We love the Newlins! follow them at http://www.newlynewlin.blogspot.com/
We are going to Callie and David's wedding this weekend and could not be happier for these two! They are wonderful and were made for each other. Praise God for His goodness!
LeLe and Scott are getting married in Montgomery on August 1st. God has blessed me so much with these two. LeLe is one of my closest friends and it has been a pleasure to see she and Scott grow. God will be greatly glorified on August 1st!!

Those are some updates for now. I will do a "real" blog soon. I love you all!

One Week!

BJ comes back in one week from tomorrow! I will just be so glad for him to be back on American soil safe and sound. He has had a blast but I know he and all of his buds are ready to be back.
I have started work at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and I am learning a lot! I am a Campaign Assistant for Light the Night. Light the Night is a walk that we do in 5 cities across Georgia to raise money to fight blood cancers. It is a really special event and does so much good! I am blessed to be a part of something like this. Come join us on October 10th at the walk in Atlanta! Check it out here!
I have some more updates coming soon! And I still need to post pictures from Elizabeth's wedding, but I have been having some major technical difficulties uploading them! I have no idea why. I need my technician BJ back here!
I hope everyone is having a good night. I will be back in blog world soon!

War Eagle...2.5 months until Auburn football!

I love St. Simons!

Mom and I got to St. Simons last night. Dad and Camilla are coming tomorrow. Katie, Art, EK, and Harper are just down the beach from us. We had a great day today. Mom and I woke up, had coffee and breakfast, and just sat on the porch for a while. Katie, Art, EK, and H came over and we swam in the pool for a bit with EK the swimmer! Then we went down to be beach to look for seashells, pick up some sticks, look for crabs, run around, get sandy, and much more! We had a great time down at the beach. Mom and I walked down to the King&Prince and then back to our house. Now we are just relaxing before going around town for a little bit. We love to chill and to ride around. Mom and I are having great fun! We are having pizza at the house with Katie, Art and crew tonight.

This is just a fun picture of Emma Kate the other day!

I have many more updates to share. The Toney-Pierce wedding is at the top of my list! They are married!

I am off to run around town with Mom for a while!

Another Good Day

Good Morning Blog World!

Today, Payton Mann Haisten graduates from Prattville High School! Payt, we are all so proud of you and love you so much. Enjoy this precious time in your life because is sure flies by! BJ and I are both so upset that we cannot be there today. I hope we can make it up to you soon! In the mean time, just remember that you are loved. I cannot wait to be your sister! WAR EAGLE!

Right now I am sitting in my kitchen at home eating Frosted Mini Wheats, drinking coffee, and blogging. That is a pretty good morning, huh? I will hopefully talk to BJ for a moment before he goes to bed in Shanghai. They are exactly 12 hours ahead, and so far, the time change has worked out great! It is oddly comforting to know that while I am awake, he is asleep. I do not worry about what he is doing or if everything is safe. I just know he is sound asleep! Then, when I am asleep, he is running around China having a fabulous time! He is really really enjoying it and keeps telling me how much he loves traveling. Hopefully we will get to travel a lot together throughout our lives. What an exciting thought!

Mom and I have been doing all kinds of wedding stuff over the past two weeks. Katie and Camilla have been such a great help. I do not know what I would do without these people. Dad has been so sweet and supportive. We love you, Dad!

So far we have a Church, reception spot, band, DRESS, bridesmaid dresses, etc... And the florist and photographer will be nailed down soon! I think I am forgetting some stuff. Anyway, the hardest thing is going to be getting everyone's addresses. The addresses for people my age are going to be hard because most of them have no idea where the will be living in the fall! Oh well- if this is the worst thing, then we are doing good! Thank you Mom for being our team captain! I love you and am soooo thankful for you.

Today we are just hanging around the house, cleaning up, still unpacking, and probably going to see Grandmama. Mom is out running errands with Emma Kate right now. If yall do not already, you must follow my older sister's blog about she and her precious little family - http://www.thedouglasfam.blogspot.com

Lauren Hayes spent the night last night after getting in from DC, and Lauren Widman is coming in town this evening! Widman and I are going to drive together to Elizabeth's wedding in Huntsville! We could not be more excited!!! Another blog to begin following- http://www.elizabeth-pierce.blogspot.com Elizabeth is a pro blogger and is so much fun. She is marrying Caleb tomorrow!!

That is all for now. I am sorry that it took so long to update! Sometimes I just have to wait for some inspiration. Happy Friday everyone!

BJ is off to China

BJ left early this morning for China. He flew to Newark, and is now in the air on the way to Shanghai. He should be landing in 2 hours.
This morning we all got up at 4 to get BJ to the airport at 5. Mrs. Barbara and I drove him and all went well...or so it seemed. I was feeling OK and had gotten my emotional stuff out the night before. We watched him go through security and then began walking to the car. When we were almost to the car I got a text from BJ that said, "Did you pack my computer charger?"
I immediately panicked. I packed his computer up for him this morning and remembered taking it off the charger. I had not packed the charger. I totally forgot. In the midst of trying to be sweet and sneaky and leave him a note in his bag, I left the durn computer charger. BJ is going over there to do his thesis, which is all done on his computer. He could have shared for a while, or tried to find a new one, but nothing made me feel OK about it. I was so worried and Mrs. Barbara was racking her brain for any way to get that thing to him.
Once we got home we realized that BJ's friend Tommy was going on a later flight and meeting them in Shanghai. Long story short, Mom drove me back to the airport and I dropped the charger off with sweet Tommy who is traveling with it right now en route to China.
After all of that ended, we took a breather and began a long and fun day of wedding planning!
More to come soon.
And I cannot get pictures to upload?!

P.S.- BJ has a blog specifically about his travels. Check it out- bjdoeschina.blogspot.com

Graduation- Sad or Exciting?

Well, I (Emily) graduated from Auburn on Saturday. It was a great day, and a fabulous weekend. My parents and the Ames threw us a little party Friday night and it was perfect. We also got most of our best friends together to take pictures in front of Samford hall on Friday afternoon. It was hot, but they turned out great! Thanks to Milla for taking the pictures!
Graduation was bittersweet. The actual ceremony was actually lots of fun. I sat amongst many good friends. I was in between Lauren W and Caroline. Kathryn Lee, Elizabeth T, Sara Beth, and Mel Jo were all on my row or right in front of me. It was really special. Bo Jackson did the commencement speech. Emma Kate and Harper attended graduation and were very well behaved from what I hear! We went to Momma G's afterwards and enjoy a sandwich and some nachos.
I cannot believed college ended. It just ended. Abruptly. Over. That's it. It is done. Finished.
Wow.
Where did it go? What happened in those four years?
My four years of Auburn were filled with friends, family, and love. It was perfect. I went to Auburn with best friends, met many more best friends, and I even get to marry an Auburn Man!  Whoa!
Although I may have spent to many hours worrying about nothing, and could have studied a little harder, I would call my time at Auburn a success. The Lord was with me through those years and even when I was not seeking Him, He was seeking me. Thank you, Jesus! He has been very faithful. My time at Auburn was such a gift and will continue to bless me. I will take my friends with me forever, and obviously my husband too!
Thank you to everyone who made my college experience what it was!
And thank you DAD for providing for me and letting me go to Auburn.

I will add some pictures soon! They are having trouble uploading.

Finishing up the Semester.

BJ and I had a great night out on the town. For us, this means going to tiger town where we visited places like Kinnucans, Moe's, Ross, TJ Maxx, TARGET, and Kohls. In that order. Am I missing anything, B?
I have my last final exam ever tomorrow. It is Art History III. I have studied a little bit, but am planning on getting up and studying all morning at my favorite coffee place in Auburn, Taylor's Bakery. I have spent many hours there during the past 4 years, and I figured that my last morning of studying at Auburn should be spent there. It will be bittersweet.
Graduation is on Saturday. Lord willing. Leave it to me to worry about worst case scenario not graduating possibilities. I know I will graduate on Saturday, but I worry about the craziest things that could happen that would steal my dreams. Haha. It wont happen.
Speaking of worrying...We just finished a series on Worry at Auburn Church. It was a great series by Andy Stanley that I highly recommend. Worry has been something that has plagued me, and I refuse to let it plague me forever. I tend to worry about everything, big and small. As my Dad says, worry is the opposite of faith. That is the bottom line. Who are we to worry about our lives? When we worry, we are saying that we do not trust the Lord with our lives. We are such control freaks that we think WE know what is best.
I will leave you all with that.
Off to bed! Only a few more nights here in Auburn as a student...

War Eagle.

Oops :)

Sorry B!
Just for the record- I cannot wait to marry my Prince Charming! woohoo!
We are so lucky to have Katie and Art to look up to.

Just to clarify a few things.

I also wish Katie & Ark a happy anniversary, since there wasn't much mention of WE in that last entry. Right sweetie?

Happy 5 Year Anniversary to Katie and Artie!

Here are Katie and Art on May 1, 2004!

My wonderful sister Katie married her Prince Charming 5 years ago today! Art came into our lives when I was about 14, and has made a great impact on me. I love him like I have always known him. Katie and Art have been such a beautiful example to everyone. We love yall so much and are so thankful for you. Thank you for sharing your sweet babies with us and being so much fun. I cannot wait to be home and get to play with yall all the time! Lots of Willy's, Fellini's, and Taqueria to come! And lots of fun wedding stuff! Now that Katie and Art's wedding was five years ago, we figured it was time for another one :) I have the best family ever!

Below: Katie and Art with Emma Kate and Harper five years later!

We all love you and are so thankful for you! Five years ago tonight we were at Katie and Art's rehearsal dinner. What a great memory. Tomorrow your daughter will have been married for 5 years! Woohoo! We are so glad that you are our Mom. Thanks for raising us right and pointing us to Jesus.

WE LOVE YOU!

PS I did this post in purple because it is Mom and EK's faaaaavvvooritte.

Hello readership.

BJ here. This will be my first post on this here blog.

It is a super day here in Auburn, part of it has to do with the fact that I truly am slowing down, somewhat. I have one last exam and a project due Monday of next week but from that point forward my only scholastic purpose will be my Thesis which I will finish in China later this summer.

I want to make the announcement that Emily and I have begun the wedding website and while it is still under construction I would like everyone to stop by for a visit sometime.

Enjoying our Dead Day.

Last Day of Class

Emily here. Not that BJ has written yet. But he will soon. Do not fear.
I finished my last day of college class today. Most likely my last day of class ever. Hmm. 17 years of school is probably enough for me. I was never that great at it anyway! haha. School supplies are the BEST though, aren't the Katie and Camilla?? We love school supplies. I think Katie loves school supplies the most though.
WHOA. Am I really blogging about school supplieessss?
Ok.
BJ and I have some updates but I am going to get him to blog about that later!
A wedding website could be in our near future.
Love you all.

Beautiful Day in Auburn!

Today is such a beautiful day in Auburn! It took a while to get warm this year, but I think we are now making up for lost time. It is in the mid-80s. Ok, enough from Emily the meteorologist.
Yesterday was my last Friday of classes...ever. I guess grad school could happen some day, but for right now, school is almost done. This is my last full weekend here. Next weekend all of my friends and I are going to LeLe's house in Birmingham for a fun night. Then Saturday is Payton's graduation party in Prattville!
Britt, Em, and I are sitting in the den enjoying our Saturday. We should probably get outside!
Hopefully BJ will be blogging soon. He is ridiculously busy but things should be settling down soon. He leaves for China May 14th!

Here We Are!

Well...Here we are. Emily and BJ. Our blog together. This is Emily right now. BJ is actually in an interview in Atlanta. Very exciting! He has another interview tomorrow in Montgomery. I am very proud of him! I cannot wait to see where the Lord takes us. It is so exciting that we are in this together, for better or for worse. I know we have not said those vows yet, but we will one day soon!
Today I am going to class at 9:30 with Milla! Then another class at 11. Then Milla and I will go to Morningside Assisted Living from 1 to 3. Thursdays are pretty packed, but they are always good. The sweet ladies at Morningside really have taught Camilla and I a lot. Milla has gotten to spend a lot more time with them than I have, but our powers combined could tell some pretty funny and sweet stories. Our favorite friends there are Mrs. Dorothy, Mildred, Lucille, Helen, and the one and only Nadine! There are many more great residents, but those are just a few favorites.
I went home Monday afternoon and had a lot of fun with Mom at Bridals by Lori and dinner! I also had a great meeting Monday morning with the wonderful people at Ambassadors for Christ International/USA. I will probably be working for them about one day a week after I start my internship with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The Lord really does mighty things, and has made my path straight with two great jobs! The internship is from June to November, then if BJ and I are in Atlanta in June, I will most likely go on full time with AFCI.
Well...how am I doing with this blog thing? What else do I write about? Umm...
Feel free to give me some ideas! I am very excited about this. It is fun!

Over and Out,

Emily
