It Is The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

BJ and I LOVE Thanksgiving and Christmas. The combo of family, friends, iron bowl, time off work, decorating the house, eating so much good food, sleeping in, etc...it all seems too good to be true!
Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You have been so good.
Thank you for another year of marriage to my best friend.
Thank you for our healthy, fun, amazing, hilarious, wonderful families.
Thank you for the encouraging and loving friends all around us.
Thank you for a warm home and a pantry full of food.
Thank you for a comfy bed and blankets.
Thank you for a hot shower.
Thank you for jobs!
Thank you for community.
Thank you for Auburn :)
Thank you for animals who brighten our day! :)

Most of all, Lord,
Thank you for Love.
Thank you for Grace.
Thank you for saving us when we deserved hell.
Thank you for your Son.

Britt and Bo

Good morning world!!

This beauty got married a month ago during a magical weekend in St. Augustine. She and Bo could not be more perfect for each other. Aren't they cute? We are so happy for them. Can't believe it's already been a month!!

They live in Gainesville where Britt is a teacher and Bo is an engineer. They pretty much rock.

I love LOVE!

Bath

Look who got a bath last night...

I know a bath for a cat is like cruel and unusual punishment ..... but Clark is pretty good about it and we use that flea/tick shampoo because those can get bad in the summer! Don't wanna risk that nastiness. Oh and he was getting kinda greasy sooo now he is looking so fresh and so clean clean.
Props to BJ for doing to cat bath... It is a tricky thing.
I know we are weird.
But I am ok with that.
Adios!

And how beautiful is my sister??!

We are so proud of EK and LOVE that she is following in her Auntie Milla's footsteps at the studio!

Raining Cats and Dogs

This is the Clark....

We love him a lot. I know he is just a CAT, but it really is cool how much fun a pet can add to your lives. He does not need much. Just a little love and some cat food. He is funny, entertaining, wacky and cool. Except when he attacks my feet when I am going to bed.

In other news...there will hopefully be a Boykin Spaniel puppy in our lives by August that will look something like this...

Storms

I don't know if you can see this very well, but this used to be a beautiful market/nursery in Santuck, AL just down the road from us. I ride by it often when traveling for work and drove by this morning to find that it was gone. The tornado just wiped it off the face of the earth. The power of weather is crazy. Reminds me of what a strong and powerful God we have. Sovereign over all things. Good. Faithful and true. Even when stuff doesn't make sense.

Let us not forget to keep praying and praying for all the people affected by these tornados. Especially those who lost children, moms, dads, siblings, grandparents, friends...

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Ps. 34:18

BlogPress App

Hi. I am blogging from my iPhone. Is this what I have been missing?? This is genius. Of course I am trying not to get my hopes up that I am going to become some super blogger now.... but I think this method will provide a great way to write quick and easy updates/thoughts!

War Eagle to that, y'all.

alive and well

For those of you wondering if we are alive...we are. Very much so.
Our blog isn't the most alive thing ever, but oh well.
We love our blog readers (all 3 of you) and appreciate your love and patience :)

We have been doing all kinds of fun stuff.

To sum it up real quick, we have been going to weddings, traveling a little here and there, working on our house, working at work, learning to actually cook, enjoying friends, missing friends, enjoying family, missing family, missing auburn, enjoying montgomery, yard sale-ing (a spring time favorite in our house), playing with clark, working on getting a pupppyyy (not a german shorthaired pointer anymore...long story), and so much more!

My sweet friend Brittney is getting married June 11th in St. Augustin, FL!!! We are so excited for she and Bo. They are the best. It is going to be so much fun to see everyone. Even my family will be there!

We have been learning a lot. Processing a lot. We are trying to learn how to LEARN. Learn how to study the Word.

I am very blessed to have the husband that I do. He loves and cares for me in miraculous ways. Sometimes I am shocked at how rationally her can respond to me when I am ranting about something ridiculous.

My baby niece Harper turned two in February :) Emma Kate turns FIVE in August. Ah. She is also starting Kindergarten this year. Is this real life? I have a niece in Kindergarten? Seems like just yesterday we were all kids and sitting around the dinner table asking Dad to ask us Bible trivia questions.

A couple weeks ago I got to surprise Mom and Dad at Home and see these little boogers and their sweet Mom! A great time was had by all. We did make up, got nails done (EK's first time!), ate lunch, etc! It was soo fun.

Our friends Jack and Kate got married last weekend. It was beautiful and so much fun. The Lord was glorified and it was just so good. We are so blessed to have them as friends!

We spent the night in Auburn for Jack and Kate's wedding and also got to have lunch with Camilla, Paige, Evan and Eliz! We went to the new Moe's BBQ downtown and it was quite tasty. We got to see Leah too :) What a treat!

Do you like all these random updates??

I also got to travel to San Antonio with three of my best friends (Jamie, Brittney, and Emily!) a couple weekends ago. We got to see Claire and her husband Stephen, see their new cute house, meet their dog and cat, and attend her sister's wedding. It was so so much fun.

Here are a few pictures:

I will leave you with a few random life pictures. I love you all! Have a wondddderful weekend!

One last thing...this should have been stated first! BJ's brother, Payton, was baptized at church last weekend. It was such a joyous day and we are so thankful for Payt and the way God uses him in so many lives.
